INGREDIENTS

We only bake with beautiful ingredients like St. David Dairy butter, pure cream and buttermilk, Milawa Free Range eggs, Laucke flour and Lindt chocolate. We buy Australian nuts and dried fruits as a priority and we are dedicated to using seasonal fruit bought directly from the growers when we can. We freshly grind spices and make our fruit preserves from scratch.

All the cakes are baked in a tiny kitchen where lots of other cakes and treats are baked so it may contain the following allergens: peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, sesame seeds, soy and wheat (gluten). 

CAKE TIPS

Thank you soooo much for buying cakes from Beatrix. Here is a little storage and shelf life guide. Most baked treats, like bread,  should be consumed as soon after that cake box reaches your hands.

The Layer Cakes with butter cake and buttercream

All cake leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three (3) days. Whole  layer cakes can be frozen into slices for up to three (3) months.

These slices love to be eaten super soon after purchase and at around 20 - 25ºC . The butter in the cake and icing is more solid when it’s cold and the cake can feel hard or even dry but it’s just too chilly.  Brr. Pop the box next to the heater.   In summer, keep the cake in a room with the air con so the buttercream doesn’t get melty. If you are keeping the slice in the fridge. Press a little plastic wrap on the cut surface to maintain freshness. 
Cookies (not filled) When you get home, pop them into an airtight container and they will keep for up to a week. They can be refreshed by re-crisping  at 120ºC for 20 minutes. 
Brownies/flourless chocolate/ caramel slice/jammy tarts  All these bakes love to be kept in the fridge but eaten at room temperature. They all keep for a week or two chilled
Brulee’d Lemon Tart  The brulee is caramelised sugar so it will melt soon. Chill when you get it home but eat it soon. 
Cheesecake/ meringue roulade/ the peach alabama/ tart-a-misu/ banoffee pie/ bavarian Remember: if it’s served from OUR refrigerator, store it in YOUR refrigerator as soon as you can after purchase. Don’t delay as these cakes melt, or can break down in mild heat. Eat them within a day of purchase.

We need at least three days notice for most of the cakes unless sold out prior.

CUSTOM ORDER
Unfortunately, we don't write on cakes as our writing is terrible!  And we don’t make super fancy or novelty cakes. Just simple and delicious cakes.
Order cancellations

Cancellations or rescheduling can be made via email at eatcake@beatrixbakes.com or by calling us on 0403698836 and refunds can be processed. Cancellations of less than 24 hours may not be able to be refunded.

Returns / Exchanges

If there is any problem with your cake, please call us on 0403698836 or email us at eatcake@beatrixbakes.com. Refunds will be evaluated when you have returned the product to us. We bake from scratch and sometimes make errors but we are super committed to fixing problems and making you cake happy!

SHIPPING + TRANSPORT

LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY.

Sorry for any inconvenience, but we do not offer delivery at this time.

When picking up, cakes are best placed on a flat surface in your car and we highly recommend placing them in the passenger footwell or the back of a station wagon or four wheel drive. Never place a cake on a car seat. In store pick-ups are available during our opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 9 am - 2 pm

Payments are processed direct by Visa, Mastercard and American Express via the secure and encrypted Stripe system. We do not have access to or hold your credit card details.

We apologies that do not accept bank transfer or payment on pick-up.
